Brittany is a kingdom of legends and beliefs
Mont
St Michel is one of the most famous landmarks in France and is often
called the 'Wonder of the Western World'. The abbey dates back to the
8th century and is only 40 minutes away from Chez Tranquille.
Along
the sandy beaches and emerald granite coast through the picturesque fishing
harbour of Cancale you will arrive at St. Malo, 'the city of the
sea' where many attractions and traditional art and crafts can be
found.
Move inland to Dinan nestling high above the Rance River
valley. Dinan is known for its artistic and architectural flavours.
Within the old town walls you will find many examples of Romanesque
and Medieval style, making this Brittany's 'jewel in the crown'
and only 12 miles away from Chez Tranquille.
Even closer still is the lovely little town of Comburg
with its imposing chateau casting an impressive shadow over the
town square. Many activities for children of all ages are also nearby including zoo's and water parks etc.
